Brother Yusuf Chambers
Yusuf Chambers was born in Woking, Surrey. Yusuf has been involved with a number of leading Muslim organisations; both in the UK and abroad. These have included Peace TV, Muslim Aid, Al-Jumuah Magazine, Islam Channel and Unity TV where he conceived and presented 'The Path to Guidance', a reverts interview programme. He has travelled extensively in the Middle East, Africa and Europe before settling in London. When it comes to charity fundraisers, hands-on community work and powerful advocacy for Islam, the name Yusuf Chambers is seldom far from the discussion table. His work also covered marketing and sales and increasingly he has featured most prominently in media, where he has carved out a niche as one of a new brand of dynamic and professional TV presenters within the community.
Dr. Zakir Naik
A medical doctor by professional training, Dr. Zakir Naik is renowned as a dynamic international orator on Islam and Comparative Religion. Dr. Naik clarifies Islamic viewpoints and clears misconceptions about Islam, using the Quran, authentic Hadith and other religious Scriptures as a basis, in conjunction with reason, logic and scientific facts.
Dr. Bilal Philips
Dr. Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips was born in Jamaica, but grew up in Canada where he accepted Islam in 1972. He completed a diploma in Arabic and a B.A. from the College of Islamic Disciplines (Usul ad-Deen) at the Islamic University of Madinah in 1979. At the University of Riyadh, College of Education, he completed a M.A. in Islamic Theology in 1985 and in the department of Islamic Studies at the University of Wales, U.K. he also completed a Ph.D. in Islamic Theology in 1994. He taught Islamic Education and Arabic in private schools in Riyadh for over ten years and for the past three years he has been lecturing M.Ed. students in the Islamic Studies department of Shariff Kabunsuan Islamic University in Cotabato City, Mindanao, Philippines. Since 1994 he has founded and directed The Islamic Information Center in Dubai, U.A.E., and the Department of Foreign Languages at Dar al Fatah Islamic Press in Sharjah, U.A.E. Among the author's published works are translations of "Ibn Taymiyyah's Essay on the Jinn", "The Devil's Deception" and Arabic Calligraphy in Manuscripts. He has also co-authored "Polygamy in Islam", and authored "Evolution of Islamic Law", "Through Repentance", "Islamic Studies", "Hajj and Umrah According to Quran & Sunnah", "Islamic Rules on Menstruation", "Arabic Reading & Writing Made Easy", "Arabic Grammar Made Easy" and "The Purpose of Creation". Sheikh Abdur-Raheem Green
Abdur Raheem Green was born in Dar-es-salaam in Tanzania. His father was a colonial administrator in the then extant British Empire. By the time he was walking the old colonies were getting their independence, and his family moved back to the UK. He was sent to a Roman Catholic Monastic boarding school, Gilling Castle and then onto Ampleforth College. It was there that he really started to question what life was all about and how much sense the traditions he was being brought up with really made. It was while he was working in the City (London) that his delving into every aspect of spirituality, philosophy and psychology came to a head. It was then when he picked up a copy of the Quran and upon reading it he was convinced that it was revelation from God, and thus started his journey into Islam. This was in 1987. Since that time he has been involved in letting others know about Islam. He is well known for his efforts at the renowned "Speaker's Corner" in London's Hyde Park. Sisters Class
Sis Khadejah Sis Khadejah (Kathryn Jones) is an Australian sister who embraced Islam in 1995. She was inspired to read the Qur'an after watching the video about embryology in the Qur'an by Keith Moore. Sis Khadejah started teaching the sisters in her city in 2005, sharing with them what she had learnt from various scholars over the internet. She started teaching online to cater for the sisters that lived too far to attend the classes. Yusuf Estes kindly allowed the sisters to have a room at his website to learn together and from there it has grown beyond the bounds of her city to being an international classroom for sisters. Alhumdu Lillah. Umm Yousif Umm Yousif (Maryam Clingan) lives in California, USA and has been a Muslim for 30 years. She has been giving lectures for over 12 years at her local masjid to sisters. She also taught Islamic Studies and Seerah on Sundays to children for about 10 years. She has taken some online classes in Aqeedah, Hadith, Seerah, Fiqh and other subjects from the AIU Islamic University. Umm Jamaal Umm Jamaal was born into an Anglo-Saxon protestant Christian household, both her father and grandfather were lay preachers. After reading a translation of the Qur'an, she first believed in the message of Islam in 1986 when she was only 15 years of age, and then later embraced Islam and began practicing it as a complete way of life when she was 19. After getting married, Umm Jamaal travelled to Saudi Arabia where she studied the Qur'an and rules of recitation at the Darul-Huda Qur'an School in Jeddah. Upon her return to Australia she completed a Bachelor of Arts-Languages degree at the University of Western Sydney, in which she majored in the study of the Arabic Language. Since 2003 Umm Jamaal has been working as a female lecturer and teacher with the Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jama'ah Association of Australia, as well as delivering lectures around Sydney at various masjids and centres.
Dr. Mamdouh Mohamed
Dr. Mamdouh N. Mohamed was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1949 and obtained his first degree from Egypt. He is a professional instructional technologist, and worked as a teacher and teacher-trainer for more than 26 years. The author of "Hajj and Umrah from A to Z", and the most famous book "Salaat from A to Z". as well as the co-author of a three-volume book; "Arabic for Children", and developer of some educational software programs. Dr. Mamdouh is the co-founder of 5 educational institutions worldwide. He had been working as a professor in GMU, Johns Hopkins, and Georgetown universities. He received a patent in computer design from the usa patent office and held some teaching, research, and training jobs. Currently a professor and educational advisor at the AOU, and his package of "Arabic: A Bridge to Islamic Culture" is a masterpiece in learning Arabic.
